Privacy

Best Dog Friendly is a free, community-run guide. We don’t sell anything, we don’t run ads, and we never sell or share your data.

Analytics

We use Google Analytics (through Google Tag Manager) to understand how many people visit and which pages help them, for example how often someone taps “Call” or “Directions” on a listing. Google Analytics sets cookies in your browser and collects information such as the pages you view, your approximate location (city level), your device and browser type, and how you reached the site. We don’t collect your name or contact details through analytics, and we’ve turned off Google’s optional data-sharing settings.

You can opt out at any time with the free Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on, by blocking cookies in your browser settings, or by using a content blocker. The site works the same without them.

Maps

Our maps are provided by Google Maps (or OpenStreetMap as a backup). When a map loads, your browser connects to that provider, which may set its own cookies under its own privacy policy.

Forms and photos

If you submit a listing, a correction or a photo, we receive what you type in the form by email and use it only to review and update listings. We may contact you to confirm a dog policy. Photos are reviewed before anything is published.
